Hi, I’m Hope
Hello and welcome. My name is Hope and my pronouns are she/her/hers. I am so glad you are here.
I am a foodie, plant-enthusiast, and devoted therapist. I have been working with children, teens, and adults in a variety of mental health settings over the last 9 years. My style of therapy is authentic, compassionate, curious, and direct. My work is grounded in feminist, consent-based, anti-oppression frameworks. This means I intentionally work to create an inclusive space for folks of all intersectional identities, with client consent at the foundation of everything I do. I am a queer affirming, anti-racist, sex-positive, Health At Every Size® or anti-diet grounded, disability justice oriented, and strengths-based provider.
I’d love to work with you on the changes you’re hoping to create for your own mental health. Click here to read more about me and my practice.
What I Help With
Anxiety
Feeling anxious — worried, uneasy, or uncertain about the future — is a common part of the being human. However, when anxiety becomes the primary way we experience the world, it can disrupt our ability to show up as our authentic selves and impair our ability to navigate our routines and lives. Together, we can explore how to support and soothe this anxious part while honoring your inner wisdom.
Body Shame & Recovering From Diet Culture
We live in a world that constantly tells you that your body is never good enough. This message often feeds painful disconnection between us and our bodies, leading to behaviors like food restriction, binge eating, and fixation on calories, exercise, and weight. Imagine what it could be like to deconstruct this internalized message and instead foster a trusting relationship with your body. We can reconnect you to your body’s internal cues and wisdom through an approach grounded in compassion and respect.
Grief & Loss
Grief and loss is far more expansive than its common affiliation with death. Loss can look like changes in relationships, moving, loss of culture, exploring identity, and changes in health or death. Grief can be a deeply complex and powerful emotional experience that should never have to be navigated alone. Let’s make space for the nuances of your grief as we find ways to support and nourish your internal experience.
